Sept. to Jan: CNA Trainings for English Language Learners, Offered by CCLC




Overview:


Cambridge Community Learning Center (CCLC) offers FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training programs for intermediate and high level ESOL learners. Sessions run each year from February to June and September to January.


This program is available to residents of the following towns: Arlington, Belmont, Burlington, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Revere, Somerville, Stoneham, Wakefield, Watertown, Wilmington, Winchester, Winthrop and Woburn.


CNA jobs can lead to work with hospitals and home healthcare agencies, as well as private employment with families seeking assistance for a loved one.


Program details:


  • Each training lasts for 16 weeks

  • Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-9 PM at the Community Learning Center (CLC) in Cambridge; and Thursdays from 4-9 PM at Labouré College of Healthcare in Milton

  • Free transportation to Labouré College campus from Cambridge

  • Hands-on clinical training and experience in different healthcare settings

  • Classes will help students to improve their English & math skills

  • Students will receive assistance with searching and applying for healthcare jobs
