The SHINE program trains people for careers in solar energy. The program is free and participants receive a stipend while they're participating.
It requires 450 hours of training over the course of 13 weeks, and no prior experience is needed.
Participants must be able to life 50 pounds; speak fluent English; climb a ladder; and have a total household income of less than $77,000.
NOTE: Preference will be be given to people who live in Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, or Hyde Park.
